These tiered flutter-sleeved dresses are made of cotton voile – which is an airy light summer fabric – perfect for summer romping. Lola has already tried both prints to her delight!

The sun is here! Don’t forget cute and practical sunhats for your little ones!
Lola loves her Rabbit Moon hat which has a big floppy brim. Extra cute and good sun protection!

We romped around the zoo last week and though Lola couln’t be bothered to use a stroller, her fair little noggin was at least protected as she roamed the zoo at top speed, looking for a “Yiyon!” (lion).

For those kiddos that don’t like hats – we have the Zutano versions that tie on.

Lola is ready to picnic!
Seen here wearing her Rocket10 cupcake dress (”Cake!!” she yells when she puts it on). We have been enjoying our backyard and the shady grove of bamboo growing there.

Beautiful weather here in RI this week (terrible flooding aside!) and Lola and I were out romping this morning. However, her new obsession is wearing her brother’s underwear over her clothes (at least it’s cute underwear from Claesen’s). Check out this pic of her running to the neighbor’s house with Enzo’s polkadot underwear over pink pajamas, it’s rather a hoot! It’s like a baby version of “What Not to Wear”

Thanks to all who came to Mod Mama’s Baby Carrier Workshop! We had a blast wrapping folks and their newbies in Mobi Wraps, pouch slings, mei teis and more. But the winner of the weekend, according to the new babies we met, was Pikkolo, a fabulous new carrier by CatBird Baby. It works like a Mei Tei, but using buckles rather than ties, it’s more comfortable than the Beco and cuter than the Ergo (with more carrying positions to boot).

Our carrier workshop moms and dads found it really comfy and the babies seemed to agree. I myself can never leave home without a pouch sling (a nursing cover, carrier, spit up wiper, on-the-go stroller blanket that fits in a diaper bag) but I love that the Pikkolo distributes the weight across both shoulders and allows for a backpack style carrier. You might just see me around town with Lola in a Pikkolo!

We also had a lot of fun showing our new 2010 Uppababy Vista to expecting mod mamas. If you’re in the market, come in and get the full Becky preview of this rockin’ ride. With jumpseat and board, this stroller can be outfitted for 1, 2, or 3 kids.

The New 2010 Uppababy Vista Alex

Who knew the Uppababy Vista could get cooler?

For one, it now comes in fabulous orange and what Mod Mama doesn’t love that?

Other upgrades include -

• a longer seat (for taller kids)
• a full sun shield (like the one on the rumble seat from last year)
• a more upright position (last year’s was a bit laid back for some Type A toddlers)

We’ve always loved Uppa (did you know they’re local?), but now we love them even more.

Cutest bunny ever?

We love this fabulous bunny by Jellycat and apparently, everyone else does too! They’ve been out of stock for a month but we finally got a new shipment of the cute little guys in time for Easter basket delights!
